How is Face authentication different from FaceID?
Face authentication registered on ACB ONE app IS NOT FaceID 
Cases requiring face authentication
Customers need to take face photo on ACB ONE app to authenticate transactions in the following cases:
- Transfers, payments or e-wallet top-ups more than VND 10 million per transaction;
- Transactions exceeding the total daily transaction value of VND 20 million;
- When logging in to the ACB ONE app for the first time, or when logging in to the ACB ONE app on a new device other than last time.
Customers who have logged in the latest versions (from 3.26.0) of ACB ONE app on the current device in June 2024 and have not changed the device will not need to carry out the face authentication for account authentication on the current device from July 01, 2024. If customers update to 3.26.0 or newer version of ACB ONE after July 01, 2024, face registration and authentication are required for the first log in.
How to register face authentication
What should be prepared:
- Smart phone that has ACB ONE version 3.26.0 or later installed and is enable to read NFC tags.
- Valid chip-based I.D. card
- Sufficient light and recognizability of the face (no facial mask, no sun-glasses, open eyes and straight head).
Step 1:
Select “More” and “Face authentication”
Step 2:
Tick on the box to agree to terms and conditions and select “Register”
Step 3:
Read instructions on how to take face photo and select “Start”
Step 4:
Select “Capture” icon to take face photo following instructions
Step 5:
Read instructions on how to scan chip-based ID card and select “Start”
Step 6:
Start to scan the chip-based ID card following instructions
Step 7:
Check information and select “Confirm”
Step 8:
Register successfully, select “Close”
How to authenticate transaction with face authentication
Case 1: Customers make online transactions on ACB ONE.
Step 1:
Select “Transfer”, “QR code” or “Payment”
Step 2:
Enter transactional information, select “Continue”
Step 3:
Check the information and select "Confirm"
Step 4:
Enter Safekey PIN
Step 5:
Select “Capture” icon to take face photo following instructions
Step 6:
Select “Enter OTP – Confirm”
Step 7:
Receive successful result
Case 2: Customers make online transactions on other channels other than ACB ONE.
Step 1:
Select notification on new transaction
Step 2:
Enter Safekey PIN
Step 3:
Select “Capture” icon to take face photo following instructions
Step 4:
Copy OTP code and paste it to other channels

Enter information and select “Log in”

Select “Account authentication”

Switch to the home screen and complete
Notes about Information security
Customers only register face authentication with chip-embedded I.D. Card on ACB ONE app.
- DO NOT provide biometric data through any unofficial website or application.
- DO NOT open links sent through SMS/social media from unofficial sources or follow instructions from phone scams.
- DO NOT enter username, password and SMS/Safekey OTP on strange websites, except for ACB’s official website at https://online.acb.com.vn or https://business.acb.com.vn.
- DO NOT install unreliable applications.
+ Android: Do not download files through Apk, do not allow Accessibility for applications.
+ iOS: Do not download files through TestFlight, do not install MDM (Mobile Device Management) software.
