ACB received the award of Top 50 typical sustainable development enterprises in 2022
(HCMC) - On August 10, ACB was proud to be honored as "Top 50 Typical Sustainable Development Enterprises 2022" organized and voted by Investment Bridge Magazine. ACB affirms that it will continue to promote development activities according to ESG standards (Environment - E, Society - S, Corporate Governance - G) with the goal of creating and optimizing value for not only bank to which all parties are concerned.
The program to vote for Top 50 sustainable enterprises was organized with the goal of promoting sustainable development trends that spread far and wide in the business community and Vietnamese society. ACB's set of standards for assessing sustainability is based on (1) Average sustainable development results in 3 years including profit before tax, net return on equity (ROE), ratio return on assets (ROA), contribution to the state budget and society; (2) Corporate governance; (3) Environmental protection and (4) Social responsibility.
Since many years ago, ACB has determined that the implementation of social responsibility should be associated with business goals, playing an important role in the long-term development plan. Every business decision has a certain impact on society, the environment and vice versa.
The sustainable development plan has been implemented by ACB in many aspects, including campaigns on environmental protection. For example, the campaign "Close to O" initiated by ACB has entered its 9th year of implementation and achieved many impressive results. Tens of thousands of employees responded to participate in activities to reduce environmental pollution, of which 90% were willing to give up the habit of using single-use plastic. More than 25,000 eco-friendly Proximity O kits are provided to employees and customers. More than 22.7 million sheets of printed paper have been reduced thanks to the Go Paperless campaign. Environmental education events organized by ACB also attract hundreds of children to participate.
In order to encourage all units to actively implement social responsibility with the locality where they are operating, in 2021, for the first time, ACB will give O-Branch - an award to honor active participants, actively carry out environmental protection activities with ACB, in the category of important awards of the year
In addition, ACB also joins hands to support other social security projects such as sponsoring medical equipment for Covid-19 prevention and control, educational sponsorship activities, and scholarships. for poor children, building houses of love, supporting policy beneficiaries, etc.
