ACB and MONEYGRAM cooperate to provide faster money transfer service at 1000 agents nationwide

(HCMC) – On December 27, 2021, ACB and MoneyGram International, Inc. signed a comprehensive cooperation contract in the field of fast money transfer services. This cooperation will help MoneyGram customers in more than 200 countries and territories around the world easily send/remit money to family, relatives and friends receiving in Vietnam through a network near 1000 points of ACB's fast money transfer agent.


Mr. Ahmad Riz, Head of Asia Pacific & South Asia at MoneyGram said, “We are very proud to be able to partner with ACB, one of the largest joint stock commercial banks and has an agent network. money transfer spread in Vietnam. This partnership will help us better serve millions of customers in Vietnam.”


According to estimated data from the World Bank (World Bank), in 2021, the amount of remittances remitted to Vietnam will be recorded at about 17 billion USD. Vietnamese people who are residing or working abroad always have a great need to send/remit money back home to their families and relatives. MoneyGram and ACB cooperate with the goal of seizing growth opportunities in the domestic market, building a network to provide fast and reliable services to customers in Vietnam.


“Fast money transfer is one of the key service areas of ACB. Accompanying MoneyGram Group, which is managing about 350,000 agent points worldwide, will help ACB attract a large amount of remittances sent home via the bank. We believe this is a partnership that brings more value to ACB's customers and benefits to all parties," said Mr. Tu Tien Phat, Deputy General Director of ACB.
“Cooperating with ACB, we increase our access to customers in Vietnam. Customers sending/transferring money via MoneyGram can now tell their loved ones to pick up money at ACB's nearest location,” said Mr. Vijay Raj Poduval, MoneyGram's Head of Southeast Asia and Indochina.
